Title: Sounds/BGM
Post by: naums on July 16, 2012, 07:18:30 am
Hey there,

Default Music for the game (Credits, BGM) may be found on soundcloud. There're lots of free music or CC-music, we could use just by mentioning the authors. This thread may be used for suggesting music and you may comment on it. I do the first one:

http://soundcloud.com/davidgriffiths/lullaby

This could be used for Credits. - Where the user thinks back about how many fun he/she had with the game.

Regards Naums

The song makes me sad for some reason. Maybe it's just the picture of the boat. It's almost sublime. Sometimes I wish I had learned piano as a child instead of being lazy.

Well, that is the best thing for a ending song to do. To rethink all the good memories on that game you've just beaten. I always wanted to learn guitar, but my parents didn't want me to. They didn't think that I could do it. I wish I would've learned something... so that I could play the melody myself while I'm singing instead of singing to someone else playing.

Ah, what could have been. There is always youtube and self-learning; if you have the time.  I'm on summer break but I've just been eating chips and watching tv (i found my old playstation  1 and n64 so that's also pretty fun). Talk about productive.

You have a singing version? Put it up, man.

Well, Druyii and Synthonym can make music. I'd rather only resort to free music when nobody is left because they got bored of post-ponement.

Grabbing music from other places often makes licensing a mess, because you can't just slap on gplv3 anymore; you have to point out that there are certain parts that are cc-by, or public domain, etc.

maybe you can talk with the author of the music (or composer) about that.

duly noted. Now, to make a to-do list for machines alone  :-P
