Greetings, everyone. As most of you know, OpenMachines has had a Sourceforge.net page for quite some time that we use to upload and download changes in code and other files. Sourceforge allows for the creation of your own page on their website, including a wiki, forums, and access to Mercurial, which allows us to manage our code across computers and update to a database.

To better organize discussion, I started up a set of forums specifically for the development assistance of OpenMachines. We can still do everything we do here, but with more control and connectivity with the project itself.

Adding onto this, some people have had trouble creating accounts and getting into these forums, and we need the control over the forums to avoid this. Keep in mind that not everything is going to be a permanent decision, and we always have the possibilities of changing anything.

Before getting started, you'll need to create an account on Sourceforge.net, and visit the project file here.

Upon reaching the project page, there should be a dashboard with an icon for the link to the Home page, the Files page, the Discussion page, and the Code page. The forums are located under the Discussion tab.

Mine goes has 1360x768, and it goes up to 1920x1080, which I'm currently using.

Actually, that's a pretty cool idea. Ever notice how the original civilian machines were only created to colonize? Perhaps you should have missions to defend the colonies or cities.

And with multiplayer, are you suggesting coop, or what? Didn't quite understand, but coop would be something interesting.

Anything with a "Yes" under the mounting section is viable for mounting a disc image/.iso.
I personally don't have windows 8, but I've used Daemon Tools, PowerIso, and Magic disk on my windows 7 desktop.
I've also heard other guys on the forums using alcohol 120%, but I personally have not.

Apparently Daemon Tools Lite added support for windows 8. You can download the windows 8 compatible version here:

I would be fine with adding a hover builder, but shouldn't that just be something included in all of them? We could always redesign them as well, since two builders are just odd shapes, and the other two are rectangular prisms.

It's like the original cause behind springrts, except:
It's probably closed source
it's pretty much about the money (they won't even make it until enough money is thrown at them)
it's even larger scale, which also means even more potential micromanaging :argh:
it has cartoon graphics
it has professional developers
It probably doesn't work on linux
It probably doesn't work on OSX

By the way, supreme commander and most spring games are made in the spirit of total annihilation. This game looks like a bad rip off of Homeworld 2 with moving asteroids or something. It also doesn't look like a machines game to me.

I'm simply having trouble understanding what you're trying to say that this teleporter does. Aside from the fact that I'm having trouble reading without any capitalization or punctuation, I've been trying to read the concept for a while with no luck of getting anything out of it.

If english is your first language and/or you can speak/write it properly, please do so I can better understand what you're trying to say, as it will benefit both of us.

EDIT: Are you trying to say that if a reaper walks somewhere, then only another reaper can walk through a teleporter and only go to other reapers?

(That would be kind of simple to code if that's what you mean, actually. Basically transferring coordinates of a unit to another.)
