Google Apps for the Dev Team
« on: September 23, 2007, 10:44:56 pm »
I came across Google Apps quite awhile ago, and I thought that maybe it'd be good for the Machines 2 developers for collaboration. What do you think?

Communicate...
Give your users Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Talk accounts that use your own custom domain, helping them to stay connected and work together more effectively.

Collaborate and publish...
Google Docs lets users share files and collaborate in real-time. The Start Page is the first place your users will look to preview their inboxes and calendars, access your essential content, and search the web.
New! Google Docs now includes presentations.

That's excellent.

I would prefer a bit more of an elaborate post. :P

You'd need to set up separate accounts I assume... I don't know if you can use existing Google accounts or not.

I just took a look at the link, and I think it's a brilliant idea.

As long as it gets set up correctly the first time (by that I mean "in a clear and organised fashion") it'd be great for seeing where we are, what he still need to do, whether we have what we need to start this etc.

I still have my original Machines disks and manual....

Very good idea.

I'd go for it.
