doesn't use it's nukes

The word you want is "its" not "it's"

If this is true, it doesn't mean that in the future the AI HAS to suck, and the demo HAS to be better. I never played machines demo, so I can't agree or disagree, but this has nothing to do with the quality of a successor or a remake. You just make a better AI, and there's a whole boatload of different AI for springrts engine. I think they'll just require a bit of tweaking.
My point earlier was to make the demo a real representation of the game, more than to focus on accessibility.

*sigh*

Listen... it's not like we're bleeding Machines (II) dry (we would be fools to do that...) but it's just...

We all have our lives, and I respect and understand that. Me, myself am about to enter my first year of uni (Informatics... or whatever it's called there... Programming and the like =P). Like I said many times before, it will help me a lot in terms of Machines-development, we'll see what it'll bring forth...

For now, the project is (still) 'on hold'...

I'd help, but I can neither programm nor do 3D Models. But count me in with balancing. Played RTS competitively for years. Can't do more, sadly.

I'd like to help to but, sadly, I have no experience on anything. Well, I guess I could check for grammar content?

Didn't I just correct your grammar?  :cop:  Nah, you'd still be helpful with something.

To SinJul/3rdSin: Game balance would greatly help. That's a big part of game design, and we don't have anyone with experience in game design.

To all: I think as a start we are going to remake machines in a more modifiable way. Of course, that only works if everyone agrees with me   :holy:

If everyone gathers up on maybe that quakenet IRC, we could get started on a remake using spring engine or something.

maybe, but IRC's tend to get full of idle people, so they're not as active as crowded. Just keep that in mind. Maybe we should use mumble. Yes? No?

I think IRC channels can be quite active. I really like IRC. Everybody gets together and talk. Probably one the best ways to stay in contact. Also not having an IRC channel was the reason for me forgetting to check the forum for several years. :-( So feel free to join.

Something like an online IM, nothing more... Although you can use several features, like...

erm...

things, you know... And... stuff...
