People still visit the site, there just isn't much in the way of meaningful posting going on.

I get the impression that most of the original senior members have either forgotten about the site or have simply left.

Nay! Many are busy, but we have not forgotten. I still do my best to tend to reported posts within the hour :P
Admittedly however, what is there left to do involving machines, besides attempt a vista or 7 port (in progress supposedly..)....

it happens to websites; people move on, stop checking, etc. However there are always new people (like me!) to help keep things going!
