Umm... I thought the version of Machines you downloaded WAS ISO? Or what extension does the file have?

Anyways, in case it is an ISO, just right-click the ISO, go down the MagicIso sub-menu and click 'Mount', then just choose a virtual drive to mount - doesn't matter what Letter it is.

Also, how about you give me your msn or something? You don't have to create new topics with every question you have and it make things a lot easier!

Okay, so it turns out that this game is in ISO format. I seem to need a CD for Disk 2 though, not really much of a problem though. But, I was wondering whether I could play multi-player without a CD. I have a friend who would like to play (and hasn't downloaded the game's demo), but I am using the demo as of now. Could I play the multi-player with him?

Disk 2 IS the CD =P

Unless Machines is downloaded in one disc(/ISO) via the MDS... Dunno 'bout that. If not, just mount both discs and you're off.

And no, you don't need any CD to be able to play the demo. Demo supports multiplayer as well.

I don't have msn. I could give you my yahoo mail though.

That's fine. MSN supports Yahoo contacts, as well.

So do both people need to download the machines demo in order to play multi-player or is one enough?

Did you really just ask that? How can you play a game when you don't have it? =P Unless you mean if it's ok when one person has the demo and the other plays via the full game... In that case: no. You both need to play via the demo (which is really kinda obvious, if you ask me =P). Why don't you both download the full game? =) Don't forget to download and apply the anti-lag patch, though (download section)!

Right. I'll add you first thing I check back.

I asked that because I remember in the full game I could play against someone who did not have the CD.

So, you mean you played via the full game against someone who played using the demo?

Cool.

Or perhaps you don't need the CD when doing a multiplayer game, after all... Doubt so, though.

How's the installation coming along? Been able to play yet?

I downloaded the game using the MDS. It loads, but when I get to the Charybdis screen the game just freezes. Is it because I didn't mount the disk two iso myself?

And is the browser game going any better or no improvements?

Nope. CD 2's got nothing to do with it. You applied all the patches/fixes again?

About my browser game, I'm not really making too much progress. Already got a few tables for the player's data, items and a bit more, but...

At least school's finished in 3 weeks =D

Did you download Machines using the MDS? Because I think it is because my machines file does not have an ISO for the first disk.

Finals though... After all that looming evil, then more time.

Well, I dusted out my old XP computer and IT WORKS! :D However, I get that stupid/rude, "Insert disk two" message  :argh:. Do I just copy the disk 2 iso onto a CD and put it there?

Wonderful news!

And no no =P

Does one of the downloaded ISO's contain the file 'setupy.bin'? If so, mount this ISO and try again. It'll work that way ;)
