If you want Sloik I can make a torrent and seed it - as long as you have a download link to the .torrent file on this website and other people also seed. I can't just leave my computer on all of the time. Also, I don't really know how to start a new torrent so could someone help me to do that. Which files would I have in the torrent?

You should just download one of the existing torrents and seed it... Making a new one just confuses people.

What torrents?

What I mean is that people can get the .torrent file off this website. Put a link to it on the home page or something. There could even be a thing in the 'members' section of the website where it shows how much you have seeded or something like that. I just think that a torrent would be way better because it means that whoever wants to download machines can do so and you don't get pissed off about people wasting your bandwidth.

Also, to make it even better the torrent could contain the patched program files for Machines, all of the registry entries and an ISO of Machines disc 2. Then you can have a batch file or executable which copies the stuff to the relevant directories (and adds in the Machines client program so people can download mods). I have tried installing Machines this way and it works; there is either no copy protection or the copy protection doesn't work. Obviously this 'package' should be compressed for the download. The main advantages of this way of distributing it are that people don't muck up the installation of the Machines client, they don't have to become a member of Wired for war (which means that the spammers etc. are filtered off because they won't be bothered to join), and you waste less of your bandwidth because everyone else is doing the uploading for you.

OK, I am getting bored writing this and you are getting bored reading it, what do you think?  :?

Finally, I did it! I have embedded the patcher into the images of the disks and added a user-friendly readme.

Hmmm. Damn. Yeah, OK.  :squidly:

How about a link to the torrents in the page where you say where people can get machines? It would also be nice if there was just one main torrent. At the moment people have to go and search for a reliable torrent so having one main one that is easily accessible would be a good idea. And then you have to persuade people to seed...

OK this topic has gone really off topic.

By the way Sloik, could you reset my karma along with M123's to zero because Deliverance is being a prick and keeps messing with it.

Try to write something in topics where people are NOT showing they're creations, because it would be very simple to just say: SUPER! 5 times right?

It takes too long to do stuff you need.
I found the game on _http://www.old-games.ru/game/1470.html
420Mb version

true, but what type of language is it?

Look

"Да, да! Это эволюция: калькулятор, робот, плазмаган! Теория мертвой эволюции (эволюции механических устройств), рассказанная Станиславом Лемом в его повести "Непобедимый", нашла свое воплощение в детище Charybdis - трехмерной RTS Machines."

im guessing herbrew or russian  looks so weird

It's Cyrillic and comes from a .ru domain, surely russian

But i don't understand why it should look weird...
