I think judas explained quite well in what order should we do this.

As for Sloik as PR. I think he's doing a good job now. :-)
So why not.

I think our bggest problem will be the programers. :|
We lost those...

Well I'll go to the 3D/concept art department if you'll need me. :-)
Cheers

I think we should get a group together to write weekly/monthly newsletters that I could e-mail or PM out.

Who's a good English writer with good spelling and grammar?

Hehe

If I get a heavy duty spellingschecker maybe :P

I'm afraid I only can submit news-items/idea's, not write them :P

Well if someone has the ideas and can write them, then we can have an editor like a real magazine does to check for grammar and spelling and to make sure it makes sense.

Well, I guess I can be the editor as long as somebody provides me with the main content.

Yeah I think I wouldn't mind that position either :P I'm better at picking apart other people's work and making it better than making something good of my own, but if sloik wants to do it he can it's cool. I thought you were already doing a fair bit.

Not really... The site hosts itself, after I've done all the configuration jazz. :P

Sloik's on the jazz

sorry, there are A-team re-runs here :P

Start a first issue with "News item fill with news about the first news letter!" ?

I think we should first find/create a real Machines theme, that fits with the news-letter, then maybe the outlay (something like this?) (or was it the other way arround, first the outlay, then the theme)

What I can think of:
First news item!
Project Starting!
New Section
Free CD-Give away! (for everybody who joins the crew :P)
Machines 2 Development so far (that it's allmost named and stuff)

If people could write something about these subjects, I'm sure Sloik(or one of his little helpers) can edit and resize it to a professional looking News-letter :D
(It doesn't matter if two people do the same subject, the best parts will be used. The more input, the more good parts there are in the News-letter)

Sloik loves it when a plan comes together.

and obviously a section for how the parts are coming along, sneak peaks and concept artwork or musical scores or even basic tech trees xD

Also I hear you guys are exposed to the absolute torture that is the Neighbours TV show there xD I know in Belgium they air it on TV (but 3 years behind what they show here).

I don't watch a lot of TV anymore, it's just 5 minutes of "something" and then a 15 minutes Commercial break. And indeed, we have these TV-programs that you watch and think, WHO CREATES THESE THINGS! AWEFULL!!

Obivously all those too, we need a list somewhere :P In the Machines 2 Dev new section I'll create a Newsletter topic xD

No, the newsletter should be PMed or e-mailed out in my opinion. That way you can read it as soon as you get it rather than having to find a topic.

Ahh nono, I think he means a post to discuss what the regular parts should consist of and also discuss which items are newsworthy and what kind of features it will have. Just like we do for everything :P

Yeah, I meant a topic where we can discuss new items for the Newsletter :)

Anyway, at first glance I though something like this would be a start

Nobody has more than 2 sections on which they can help, and there's plenty room for new people(which we need very hard)

Note: The Archiver could also be a person with allot of Web/Computer Space

(Offcourse this picture is a mere "Theory")

PS: CS would be the Engine of our choice

PPS: Network crew may be needed for Multiplayer

PPPS: I like to create maps, if you havn't figured that out yet :P [/explanation to why I chose World build/Quests]

You can put me in the "Char creation/other" department to, or somewhere in the Rules section. :-P

I've got lotza webspace... and this forum is basically an archive in itself.

Also, why is network crossed out? I think it's a crucial aspect of the game.

Daemien should be the rules leader in my opinion (at least for the website... not for the game). He seems like the most rational person here, considering nobody's ever yelled at him.
