Hey everyone, its been forever since I last showed my head in here so I thought I'd reintroduce myself :)

Anyway, I briefly looked through the Machines 2 development section and it looks like you guys are still working hard (kinda...). I have the next few weeks free and would like to fill my time by helping out wherever I can. Could anyone bring me up to date? and maybe point me to a task list? This is still on right? lol, I want a Machines 2 too!

I can make static 3D models (but wouldn't mind learning to animate) and textures or help out with programming if that's needed (though I'm a bit rusty with c++).

We are kind of failing  :cry: Springs is being difficult to deal with and is causing many frustrations and angers. Hmm, how should I start. We need a texturer (our models are empty) and an animator. Sorry it is so disorganized but, yeah. We need as much help as we can get.

Interesting.... and that scout sure moves fast! lol. But it looks farther along than I had expected. That's great.
What sort of troubles with Spring?

...We're not failing...
We decided to work on a machines remake rather than machines2, because that makes more sense for people who don't develop games, but can play with 3d modelling software and simple game engines  :squidly:
At least that's part of why I wanted to remake...
We still don't know everything about spring engine, but I'd say we're getting there. A guy willing to do UV mapping and texturing would be appreciated, and animating maybe later.
You can download the mercurial repository of all the files on the sourceforge page (http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/openmachines  download "code"). You'll need mercurial to do that.

The old Machines is modifiable. It is simple too and organized. Better graphics is a big one and hopefully we present to the world the Lost Game.
