Announcer (mahmoud =])

This is my try at recreating the announcer for machines. I didn't try to make it sound like her. She's ridiculously unclear anyway. I made a quick sound file for when you're "running low on building materials."
Is it good? Is it bad? Does it sound fitting for machines? Also remember: this is just a quick one; I can make better quality for one that actually gets used in-game. (this is for openmachines by the way)

I'm not sure I like it. It's neither masculine nor feminine. Then again, that could make sense for robot voices...

The voices had a big influence on the feel of the thing though. I don't think it'd be the same without them.

True, and the voice is for you, not the machines you control. Yes, you are a machine, but what the machine gets as a message can only be portrayed by a voice telling you that you have low bmu's, in order to be as effective.

I think the voices fit so well with their characters. They seem as though the unit would actually say it. Removing that is like removing the original elements of awesome in the game...
