My story
« on: September 21, 2011, 07:12:03 pm »
Hello, my name is Facundo, I'm 15 and I live in Argentina. First of all, I want to say that Machines was one of my first games and actually, it's still the best one. My parents bought it when I was very young, becuse I entered in a shop and I "fell in love" with it since the first moment I saw it. I wanted to have it. I enjoyed it a lot, although my memories of these good times are blurry and only a few. Despite this, I always considered it as one of my best sources of inspiration, an certainly, an important factor in terms of making me a fan of technology, industry, machinery, robots and science fiction. Some years ago, in one of my many "relocations", because of the fact that it didn't worked in my pc after several failed attempts, I decided to throw it away, with all my hopes lost. After I moved to my new house, I discovered this forum, and realized that thanks to that stupid decision, I lost my opportunity of playing this amazing game  :argh: . I was really angry with myself. The game had a huge sentimental value, and I threw it away, without considering the posibility of "fixing" the compatibility problem. My ignorance betrayed me. However, I was decided to play it again, at all costs. Therefore, I made little steps, one by one. I first got part of the OST, then, in a russian forum, all the voices and sounds from the game, and now, after I installed the game in my pc succesfully, I found a wall. A huge WALL. This wall is the message error of "insert disk 2"  :sadd: . Therefore, I am now going to fix this problem. Nothing is going to stop me, because it is my duty to serve my controller...  :holy: Thanks for reading this, and, and I hope that one day, I will command the reds against the blues... :)

This site has been distributing working copies for years.  :-o
Check out the download section http://forums.wiredforwar.org/index.php?topic=1609.0
It also works for xp with the xp patch, and for vista and windows 7 if you install the xp patch to the directory, and toss d3drm.dll in there too.

Well, that is what I have been trying. I followed this forum for almost a year, and so, decided to register. I don't know almost anything about downloading different files, extracting them, burning, them, etc... So I have been trying with different "methods", let's say. I think I almost got it, but if I have any doubts, then I will ask for help in here. Thank you very much!!!  :-)

Well, it's logical, but this site is still awesome  :-) .
Oh, I have a question: Could I include in the screenshot section some fan art, I mean, for example, some drawings?, something like this?: http://fbg-design.deviantart.com/#/d3rakev

Certainly. And if you get any ideas or drawings of ideas for new units and/or buildings, please post them here: http://forums.wiredforwar.org/index.php?topic=8257.0

EDIT: It's not really halted, I still do a little coding on the weekdays, and more on the weekends. For the most part, the team can't work as much as before.

"Not long after that, I joined the Anti-bunny-army" (lack of better name) "to show these hairy fuckers the size of my grief and rage. I'll make 'em pay for what they did. I'll cut off their feet and keep them as a symbolic message of my hatred.

I'll get every one them.

Every single one..."
