Using CMS for Turok Page
« on: January 26, 2012, 09:27:20 am »
Hey there,

Whoever made this introduction page: wiredforwar.org - What CMS is it? Can I just copy it for using it for my own Fanpage about Turok. The good old Acclaim Games :)

It'd be nice if you could send me a message of something. Thank ya.

Regards Naums

you gonna have to register yourself on Oettinger Games. :) I gotta need the right to change the source code of the CMS/page as well. maybe, just if the maker wants to - we could have an svn. :D

You should use Mercurial and not SVN, but besides that, I think the "CMS" of the front page is Concrete 5.

:megamonocle:ok, thanks. What design do you have? Cause It might be fun if it looks similar to each other for both beeing Acclaim Games, you know? Is Concrete 5 free and OpenSource, so can I change it without having to pay them?

Edit: I'll watch this later on, but for now there are some tests to pass.

Yeah, it's free and open source. It actually says that in big letters on the homepage I linked.

it'll become multilingual... At this point of time I fight with my implementation of having english and german game reviews... 'cause I changed the game-system several times ... and now ... nothing works. >.<

For you to be updated: First off, I have an English Facebook page for Oettinger Games, just look it up there.

Secondly: The Turok page, that was planned, will (if ever) come with the CMS of Oettinger Games, so it's probably easier for me to update the code and develop one and the other at the same time. For the OG CMS being really low in standard of Yoomla or something like that, It'll need more than just some weeks of development for it to happen - or for it to be possible at all.

Thanks.
