Currently people are working on Open Machines instead of Machines 2. Send Automatic a PM if you wanna help out as well.

Nice track btw. :3

I would like to think it is in a hiatus state, not dead. If you want to help, download Springs and try your hand at coding. The models are [mostly (to my understanding. Check out the sourceforge. They probably will be revisited eventually.)] finished, but I believe the coding never took off too far, however, I could be mistaken. Coding can be confusing and difficult at times; coupled with other things from volunteering, work/schooling, life, hiatus is understandable.

This reminds me, I forgot I still had Springs on my computer. Must have been too lazy to remove it. But all I have is an unfinished (and failed) spy so.. Here's a :bunny:

I listened to the song; it had an abrupt stop :|
Anyway the same goes for everyone who wants to make tunes: you can make music for machines, and if it fits, we can use it, but it has to go under the same gplv3 license, so licensing doesn't get too annoying.

You want to do music, right? Did you listen to the Soundtrack of the original Machines?

If you're developing only music, you don't need to worry too much about the actual spring files, but right now the best way to get openmachines is through sourceforge.net/projects/openmachines . You need to get the link to put into mercurial (Basically an organizer for software development) and just use the link to "clone" the repository. the files in the repository should all be put under a folder that ends in ".sdd" so that you can put the folder under "mods" in the spring directory, and if it works, then you should be able to choose openmachines as the mod you want to play, when you boot spring's lobby client (you can choose between three lobby clients; I use springlobby).
Yes, this is annoying and complicated. We can make it much simpler, but I was advised against putting effort into making it easier to run such an underdeveloped game >.>
