The Instruction Booklet
« on: March 31, 2007, 05:03:46 pm »
I figured I would scan my manual, since it is in good condition. So, here you go, one "Machines Instruction Booklet"!
Sorry if the quality sucks, I had to downsize and JPEGify my original scans.
Furthermore, I would like to say, I KNOW THESE AREN'T SCREENSHOTS, but this was the only logical place for the scans.

I did.

I personally never found it useful - when you told it to locate, it would randomly seek out mineral deposits right over the enemies anti-air turrets.

I still have my original Machines disks and manual....

It had a page number! Sheesh!

For the love of god! Thumbnails, please!

How do I do thumbnails? But, uh, wouldn't that make the images smaller when saved? I am not a professional image person. How to put this... Would people have to go to each URL to get the full image? In short, instructions please! (I doubt HTML can help me here, seeing as it would REQUIRE the viewer to go to each link to save properly.)

Basically, the thumbnail shows the image in reduced size, and clicking on it loads the full image.

If you use imageshack, they provide you with a hotlink for forums to use.

Judas: Oh, that. I saw that ages ago - and I'm sure I saw some other mistakes in the manual as well. I'll point them out when I find them again.

EDIT: Just glancing over, do you like the beta version technician on page 26?

This one has less errors than my manual though

I mean, it's Grunt W Napalm and Warrior both have a Scout W Bolter image, No Medic Commander/Commandant pictures and the Commandant has a Commander image and the Medic Commander has a Commandant Picture...

And the prospector is also wrong in my manual.

Oh, it also has that Beta Picture :P I think it was going to be the unit to research the Mule, Dozer, Locator, Technician etc with :P (kinda logical) but they removed it since...you have to start with a factory, lab and that unit to make it have any use :P.

Hah, that's a spy!

You say that like it's a bad thing, spys rule and it is awesome how they infiltrated the Locator Section.

But it is pretty funny how many errors there are with the pictures.
You'd think they'd hire someone to look for stuff like this.
And if they did, well, they should have hired someone who knew what the machines were supposed to look like. :-P

Meh, the mistakes pissed me off to no end when I was in the fourth grade. I was reading it, and was about ready to shred the damn manual. But, then I realized I did not have a shredder, so I locked the thing in storage, where the game followed, about three months later, when I purchased Age of Empires 2. What a heretic I am.  :ddance: Thus, it was preserved in this condition.

About the whole "thumbnail" thing, I would have to upload the pictures again. (Insert the word "no" with several thousand "o"s after it.)

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...
eh, that good enough?

I think it's a bit unnessessary to re-upload the pictures. The ones here are fine. But if you believe that you must...

Hey, look at the picture! that's a spy! Also, did you know that in first-person view, the bull, and rhino transporter icons are switched?
Have you checked out any of my mods?
-If not, it's probably because I haven't uploaded any.
